Springdale Har-Ber High School held its commencement ceremony Saturday at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville, marking the end of the 2025-26 school year for more than 300 graduates.
The event, which began at 6 p.m., featured student speakers, the presentation of awards, and the conferral of diplomas. Photos from the evening show students walking across the stage to receive their diplomas, some accompanied by family cheers and others pausing for smiles with school staff.
One student speaker addressed her classmates with remarks that emphasized perseverance and future ambitions. The ceremony also recognized academic and extracurricular achievements within the graduating class.
Community Milestone
Har-Ber High School, located in the rapidly growing western part of Springdale, has seen steady enrollment increases over the past five years. This year’s graduating class represents a diverse group of students who have completed coursework in Advanced Placement, dual credit, and career-focused programs through partnerships with local institutions.
The school is part of the Springdale Public Schools district, the second-largest school district in Arkansas, which serves more than 16,000 students across 23 schools. Har-Ber’s principal, Jennifer Taylor, has led the school since 2022 and oversaw several infrastructure upgrades this year, including a new science lab and expanded cafeteria space.
Graduates from Har-Ber will attend a mix of two- and four-year institutions, enter military service, or begin workforce training programs. According to district data, nearly 65% of the class plans to pursue postsecondary education, while 10% have already earned college credit through dual enrollment courses.
The school’s career and technical education (CTE) program played a significant role in preparing students for both college and careers. Programs in health sciences, information technology, and construction have aligned with regional workforce needs, particularly in Benton County, where employment in healthcare and logistics continues to grow.
Looking Ahead
Among the graduates are several students who received scholarships through local organizations, including the Springdale Education Foundation and the Northwest Arkansas Women’s Foundation. One student was awarded a full-tuition scholarship to the University of Arkansas, while others earned partial scholarships to institutions such as Northwest Arkansas Community College and John Brown University.
The ceremony concluded with a recessional followed by a reception for families in the arena’s west lobby. Many graduates wore caps decorated with custom art, school colors, or messages to friends. Several held signs thanking teachers and family members who supported them through high school.
Har-Ber’s graduating class joins a broader cohort of NWA students transitioning to postsecondary life. In total, more than 4,000 students are expected to graduate this spring from high schools across Northwest Arkansas.
For families seeking information about future commencements or school events, the Springdale School District maintains a calendar on its website. Har-Ber High School will host its annual freshman orientation in mid-June.
