Attendees can tour four local residences where art anchors interior design
The second annual “Art of Home: A Weekend Tour of Artful Homes” will open four private residences to the public in Northwest Arkansas this November. Presented by MIXD Gallery in Rogers and At Home in Arkansas magazine, the event will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, and Sunday, Nov. 8.
This year’s tour features a self-guided route through four homes located between Fayetteville and Bentonville. Organizers selected properties where original artwork anchors the interior design. Each residence features a distinct strategy for incorporating fine art into the daily living environment.
Showcasing the intersection of fine art and residential real estate is the primary objective of the event. The tour departs from the commercial gallery model, placing curated collections within private domestic spaces. Organizers designed the weekend to demonstrate that art galleries are not the only location for viewing significant works.
MIXD Gallery in Rogers is the primary organizer. The gallery is hosting the tour alongside the roster of At Home in Arkansas magazine. The event coincides with MIXD Gallery’s fourth annual “By Design” exhibition.
This collaboration highlights a specific trend in Northwest Arkansas’ design economy. Property owners in the region are increasingly integrating distinct art pieces into their home renovations. This movement influences local real estate trends, where interior design contributes to property value.
The event provides an opportunity to study how collectors display work from regional and national artists. The tour offers insight into the curatorial process used by interior designers and homeowners.
Tickets and specific location details are available online. The outdoor corridor connecting Fayetteville and Bentonville serves as the geographic focus for the showcase.
