Arkansas football coach Ryan Silverfield touts in-state recruiting as ‘All In Roadshow’ commences

Ryan Silverfield, Arkansas’s first-year football coach, made a promise to Razorback fans Tuesday night that wasn’t about wins or losses — it was about effort.

Speaking at Ozark Music Hall in Fayetteville during the kickoff of the “All In Roadshow,” Silverfield told a crowd of about 125 people that he wants fans to “love the way they play.” It’s a shift in tone for a program trying to rebuild, and it landed well with those in attendance — especially when he highlighted that more than half of the team’s 2026 signing class is from Arkansas.

That stat alone drew one of the loudest rounds of applause of the night.

Silverfield, who coined the Razorbacks’ new “All In” motto, said the focus right now isn’t on predicting how many games the team will win this fall, but on the culture being built within the program. “I hope we win them all,” he said, “but in reality, I’m going to be proud if the effort is there.”

The roadshow, a week-long event hitting multiple cities across the state, is meant to reconnect the team with fans and showcase the emphasis on in-state recruiting. Silverfield took the stage alongside Chuck Barrett, the longtime voice of the Razorbacks, for a conversation that touched on everything from roster development to the importance of Arkansas kids wearing the red jersey.

Getting more local talent on the field isn’t just about optics, Silverfield explained — it’s about building a team that reflects the state’s grit and passion for football. He pointed to the current roster, which includes players from cities like Little Rock, Pine Bluff, and Fayetteville, and said that trend will continue.

“We’re investing in our own,” he said. “That’s how you build something sustainable.”

That message resonated with attendees like Fayetteville resident and longtime fan Jameson Lowe, who said he’s been waiting for a coach who talks like he means it. “It’s refreshing to hear someone talk about effort and pride,” he said. “That’s what this program needs.”

The “All In Roadshow” continues through the week, with stops planned in Springdale, Rogers, and Bentonville. Each event is free and open to the public.
