The Walton Arts Center is gearing up to celebrate a decade of “aca-awesomeness” as the VoiceJam Festival returns to Fayetteville from April 10 to 12. This three-day event promises a vibrant mix of soaring vocal harmonies and energetic performances, kicking off with a concert by renowned a cappella group, Voctave.
Voctave, known for their powerful vocal performances and intricate harmonies, will take the stage on April 10. This is a rare chance to see the group perform live in Northwest Arkansas, and their presence will undoubtedly set a lively tone for the festival.
On April 11, the festival opens its doors to aspiring vocalists with a series of free a cappella workshops running from 9 a.m. to noon. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or just starting out, these workshops offer a chance to hone your skills and learn from experienced artists. Later that evening, at 7:30 p.m., the annual VoiceJam Competition will showcase a cappella groups from across the country as they vie for the top spot. Known for its high-energy performances and impressive talent, this competition has become a festival highlight.
The festivities wrap up on April 12 with a unique musical experience—the One-Day Choir. This special event, held from 10 a.m. to noon in the Atrium of the Walton Arts Center, gathers singers of all levels to create a choir in just one day. It’s a fun, collaborative way to close out the festival, bringing together voices from the community in a shared love of music.
With a full weekend of events planned, the VoiceJam Festival continues to be a cornerstone of the region’s cultural calendar, attracting music lovers from near and far. If you’ve ever tapped your foot to the rhythm of an a cappella beat or marveled at a perfect vocal harmony, this event is not to be missed.
