United Way NWA Announces $2.1M in Community Impact Grants for 2026

United Way of Northwest Arkansas has awarded $2.1 million in Community Impact Grants to 28 local nonprofits working in health, education, and financial stability across Benton and Washington counties.

The grants, funded through United Way’s annual workplace giving campaign and corporate partnerships, support programs that directly serve NWA’s most vulnerable populations. Recipients include organizations addressing childhood literacy, mental health access, emergency financial assistance, and workforce development.

“Every one of these grants represents real people getting help they need right now,” said United Way NWA leadership. “A reading tutor for a second-grader in Springdale. A counseling session for a single mom in Rogers. A utility payment that keeps the lights on for a family in Fayetteville.”

Among the largest awards this cycle: the NW Arkansas Food Bank received funding for its mobile pantry expansion, Ozark Guidance Foundation was awarded support for youth mental health services, and Dress for Success NWA received a grant to support women re-entering the workforce.

Nonprofits interested in the next Community Impact Grant cycle — expected to open in fall 2026 — should begin preparing now. Information on eligibility, reporting requirements, and application timelines is available at unitedwaynwa.org.
