Polls open bright and early at 7:30 a.m. this Tuesday for runoff elections across Northwest Arkansas. Voters can head to the booths until 7:30 p.m., and anyone in line by that time will still get to cast their ballot. It’s time for residents in Benton, Washington, Madison, and Carroll counties to make their voices heard.

In Benton County, there are several convenient locations to cast your vote. You can drop by the Bella Vista Community Church at 75 E. Lancashire Blvd. or head over to the Highlands Church located at 371 Glasgow Road in Bella Vista. For those in Bentonville, the Bentonville Church of Christ Activity Center at 708 N. Walton Blvd. and the First Presbyterian Church at 901 N.E. J St. are open for voters. The Bogle Family Public Services Building on 1204 S.W. 14th St. also makes the list, making it easier for Bentonville residents to participate in the electoral process.

Washington County voters have their share of accessible polling places as well. With locations spread across the county, residents can vote at places like the Center for Nonprofits at St. Mary’s in Rogers or the Washington County Courthouse in Fayetteville. These spots make it convenient for everyone, whether you’re coming from work, home, or school.

Madison and Carroll counties are also all set. Each has designated voting centers aimed at accommodating the residents eager to take part in the elections. The commitment to ensuring everyone has the chance to vote is evident in the breadth of locations available.

Honestly, in a bustling place like Northwest Arkansas, local elections are the backbone of our community’s future. They might not grab national headlines, but these races shape our schools, roads, and public services. It’s fantastic to see so many venues available, making it straightforward for folks to swing by and vote.

This election season has been buzzing with topics that hit close to home, from local infrastructure to educational funding. If these are issues you care about, this is your moment to weigh in and make sure your priorities are reflected in our community’s decisions.

For those interested in the broader civic environment, events like the recent talk from the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute’s executive director to the League of Women Voters remind us of the importance of staying engaged. Local discussions, like those about tolls for I-42 funding, are happening right now, and participating in elections is a crucial part of influencing those conversations.

So grab that voter ID, head to your local polling place, and let’s keep the democratic spirit alive and well in Northwest Arkansas. Your vote is your voice, and this Tuesday, you have the chance to use it.
