Cristian Genaro Garcia, 34, was arrested by Fayetteville police after a shooting outside Parker’s Sports Grill on Wedington Drive late Wednesday. The incident left one man with a gunshot wound to the leg, described by authorities as minor and non-life-threatening.

Officers were also informed that one of the shooters had fled to the restroom at the nearby E-Z Mart convenience store, also on Wedington Drive. Police arrived quickly at the E-Z Mart and detained Garcia, but initially released him after they couldn’t connect him to the shooting at that time.
Further investigation led to Garcia’s arrest early Thursday on charges including being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of cocaine, according to the probable cause affidavit released by Fayetteville police. The affidavit doesn’t clarify whether Garcia is the suspected shooter or another involved party.
