Have fun at Dave & Buster’s in Rogers while supporting Make-A-Wish | Around the Corner

Dave & Buster’s in Rogers is offering more than games and eats this month — it’s giving customers a chance to support Make-A-Wish Arkansas with every visit.

Throughout October, the entertainment venue at 2203 S. Promenade Parkway in Rogers will donate a portion of proceeds from dine-in meals and game play to the nonprofit that grants wishes to children with critical illnesses. The local campaign is part of a broader partnership between Dave & Buster’s locations nationwide and Make-A-Wish America.

For many families in Northwest Arkansas, a wish experience can mean a break from hospital visits and medical routines. Wishes range from trips to theme parks and meeting favorite celebrities, to simpler moments like a backyard makeover or a special outing. In 2024 alone, Make-A-Wish Arkansas has granted more than 130 wishes statewide, including several in Benton County.

“Every dollar spent here helps us bring joy to kids and families during some of their hardest times,” said a spokesperson for Make-A-Wish Arkansas. “We’re grateful for local businesses like Dave & Buster’s that turn everyday activities into opportunities to give back.”

The Rogers location, which sits near the Pinnacle Hills Promenade, has hosted similar fundraisers in past years. General Manager Marcus Jimenez said the response from the community has always been strong. “People love to have fun, and they love knowing their fun is making a difference,” he said.

Inside the 23,000-square-foot space, guests can expect the usual lineup of high-energy arcade games, virtual reality experiences, and a menu featuring loaded appetizers, burgers, and craft cocktails. But this month, the stakes feel a little higher — and not just in the games. Families playing together often leave with more than just scores on the leaderboard. “It’s a reminder that joy and generosity can go hand in hand,” Jimenez added.

Make-A-Wish volunteer Kayla Moss brought her two young children to the Rogers location last week. They played air hockey, tried the claw machines, and shared a plate of loaded nachos. “We try to support local causes when we can, especially ones that impact kids,” Moss said. “This was a no-brainer.”

The fundraiser runs through October 31. There’s no minimum purchase required to participate — every meal and game card purchased contributes to the cause. According to Make-A-Wish Arkansas, just $250 can help fund one hour of a child’s wish experience, from planning to execution.

For those looking to give more directly, Make-A-Wish Arkansas accepts online donations and offers volunteer opportunities for individuals and corporate groups. The organization also partners with local hospitals and medical centers to identify eligible children.

Jo Burris, a longtime Rogers resident, visited the restaurant with her teenage son during a recent weekday evening. Between rounds of mini golf and a shared platter of wings, she said supporting a cause while having fun felt natural. “We come here a few times a year anyway,” she said. “Why not do it when it means something extra?”

As the evening wound down, the sounds of cheering players and clinking tokens filled the air. On the screens above, scores flashed in bright colors. At the tables, families lingered over dessert, unwinding after long school and work days. For one night, at least, the games weren’t just about winning — they were about giving.
