Five Rogers Schools Recognized Among Arkansas’ Top Performers

Folks in Rogers have a little extra reason to celebrate this week. Five schools from the Rogers School District have been recognized among Arkansas’ top performers, adding another feather to the city’s cap. This acknowledgment highlights the dedication of teachers, students, and parents across the community.

The schools honored include Bellview Elementary, Eastside Elementary, Tucker Elementary, Lingle Middle, and Rogers New Technology High School. Each of these schools earned their spots on the list by demonstrating exceptional performance in academic achievement and student growth, according to the Arkansas Department of Education.

At Bellview Elementary, Principal Julia Carter credited the recognition to the collaborative spirit of the community. “It’s not just about the teachers and students, but also about the parents and volunteers who go the extra mile,” she said. This sentiment echoes the Rogers community’s broader culture of volunteerism and support, a spirit also seen at events like the annual volunteer day hosted by Cross Church NWA.

Eastside Elementary has focused heavily on literacy, implementing innovative reading programs that have shown remarkable results. “Our kids are not just meeting expectations; they’re exceeding them,” shared a proud fifth-grade teacher. This dedication to exceeding standards is common across Rogers, where education is viewed as a community investment.

Meanwhile, Tucker Elementary took a creative approach by integrating technology into everyday learning. Tech-savvy students from Tucker Elementary are well-prepared for the digital world, an approach that aligns with the district’s broader vision for education in the 21st century.

Over at Lingle Middle School, the staff has been focusing on student engagement. Principal Mark Johnson attributes their success to unique extracurricular offerings that keep students excited about learning and coming to school every day. “When students want to be here, everything else falls into place,” he said.

Rogers New Technology High School, known for its cutting-edge instructional methods, continues to thrive. The school’s project-based learning approach not only prepares students academically but also equips them with essential life skills. “Our students are ready for whatever comes next, whether that’s college, career, or community service,” said the principal.

This recognition of excellence is not just a win for the schools themselves but for Rogers as a whole. It reflects a community deeply invested in the success of its young people. As the district continues to prioritize top-notch education, the future looks bright for students across the area.
