The Fayetteville Veterans Day Parade is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, returning to Dickson Street after a pause in recent years. The event will open with a ceremony at 10:45 a.m. at the intersection of Dickson Street and West Avenue before the parade begins.
Following the parade, a Veterans Community Fair will take place in the Upper Ramble area, aimed at providing resources and support to those who have served in the U.S. military.
The parade will honor veterans from all branches of the U.S. armed forces, including the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force, and Coast Guard. Fayetteville Mayor Molly Rawn will participate in the event, along with Grand Marshal Col. Merle Williams, a Vietnam War veteran and West Point graduate with extensive military service.
The parade route along Dickson Street, a well-known corridor in Fayetteville’s downtown area, is expected to draw attention from both local residents and visitors. The event serves as an annual community recognition of military service and sacrifice.
The Veterans Community Fair following the parade is an opportunity for local and regional organizations to connect veterans with services ranging from healthcare and employment to education and legal assistance. The Upper Ramble, located near the parade route, provides a central and accessible location for the fair that supports engagement and outreach.
This year’s parade marks a restoration of an event that has historically been part of Fayetteville’s Veterans Day commemorations. It aligns with broader civic efforts to acknowledge and assist veterans within Benton County and the Northwest Arkansas region.
Community members interested in supporting the parade or participating in the Veterans Community Fair can find more information through Fayetteville city resources and local veteran organizations. The event represents one of the key public acknowledgments of veteran contributions within the city’s public calendar.
