Families and Hog fans alike had a chance to mingle with Razorback legends and celebrate Black History Month at the Razorback Letterman’s Event during the last weekend of February. Held at the Razorback Letterman’s Club in Little Rock’s War Memorial Stadium, the two-day celebration was presented by Muskie Harris Rehabilitation.
The festivities kicked off with a lively “Friday Night Pig Out” on February 28, 2026. Attendees were invited to bring along their favorite Razorback memorabilia, ready to be signed by former Razorback athletes such as Tracy Scaife, Ivan Jordan from North Richland Hills, Texas, Steve Warren, and Ike Forte from Texarkana, Texas. This was a rare opportunity not just to get autographs, but to connect with some of the figures who have shaped Razorback history.
While the event was packed with excitement and nostalgia, it also aimed to make a meaningful impact. Donations collected during the event were directed towards the Jon Richardson and Bruce Mitchell Scholarship endowments. These scholarships honor the legacy of two trailblazing Razorback players, ensuring their contributions to the team and their communities live on through educational opportunities for future generations.
The atmosphere was abuzz with families creating new memories as they met their sports heroes. Kids, wide-eyed with excitement, could learn firsthand about the history and struggles of these athletes, giving Black History Month a personal touch. It was an educational moment wrapped in the fun of sports celebration.
For those planning to attend similar events in the future, remember to bring your favorite Razorback gear for signatures, and maybe a Sharpie or two. Such gatherings not only offer a chance to connect with sports history but also provide an engaging way for families to participate in community events that support significant causes.
This event serves as a reminder of the rich history embedded within Arkansas sports and the ongoing efforts to honor and celebrate it. It’s a chance for families to experience a slice of that history together, while also contributing to a brighter future for student-athletes.
