Coffee shop opens at Sassafras Springs Vineyard

New coffee shop Creekside Coffee opened at Sassafras Springs Vineyard on Guy Terry Road in Springdale.

While Fayetteville continues to churn out new cafes on every corner around the University of Arkansas, the new spot sits just northeast of the city limits. It’s located at 6461 E. Guy Terry Road, a spot that has already established itself as a go-to venue for weddings and weekend getaways for locals.

For drivers used to the convenience of a drive-thru on their way to the Bentonville Square or The Walmart AMP, Creekside might feel a bit different. It lacks a quick-service window entirely. The shop is designed for those willing to stop and park, offering a more permanent extension of the vineyard’s existing patio vibe.

Slow down and take it in

In the coffee world, being slow-to-serve often gets framed as a virtue in trendy pockets of the country, but here in NWA, it’s a genuine cultural shift. The owners aren’t rushing their guests. They wanted to create a space that feels “relaxed, welcoming and right at home here at the vineyard,” according to a post announcing the opening.

That message seems to match the scenery. If you pull up on a crisp afternoon, you can grab a coffee and sit with the vines and open fields instead of the dashboard. It’s the kind of place where you check your watch less often than you check the menu.

Coffee and quiche

The menu leans into that same leisurely atmosphere rather than focusing purely on high-speed caffeine delivery. They’ve got the standard coffees and specialty drinks, but you’ll also find mimosas if you arrive during the right hours. For solid food pairing, they’re offering quiche and muffins. It’s a mix that fits a venue that hosts elaborate celebrations one day and quiet coffee afternoons the next.

Sassafras Springs Vineyard has always been a draw for couples getting married in the area and families looking for green space. This small addition adds a daily amenity that makes the location accessible during the weeks and months when there isn’t a wedding on the calendar.
