Motorcycles of a wide variety roared through downtown Rogers during the Bikes, Blues & BBQ rally over the weekend, attracting visitors from across the United States despite intermittent rain and cloudy skies. This year’s event marked the largest turnout since the rally relocated from Fayetteville to Rogers in 2022.
Sam Danneberg, vice president of downtown development at the Rogers-Lowell Chamber of Commerce, described the gathering as the biggest since the move. “We saw motorcyclists from coast to coast, including Washington state, California, Houston, and Dallas,” Danneberg said via email.
The change in venue came after the nonprofit board responsible for organizing Bikes, Blues & BBQ cited modifications on Fayetteville’s Dickson Street as a significant factor. Rogers-Lowell Chamber CEO Raymond Burns confirmed the decision to shift the event aimed to better accommodate the rally’s size and logistics.
This year’s event featured a broad spectrum of motorcycles parading through the core areas of downtown Rogers. Despite occasional showers, large crowds gathered to witness the procession and enjoy the accompanying festivities that take advantage of the city’s existing infrastructure and downtown development initiatives.
Local businesses reported increased foot traffic throughout the weekend, particularly in areas near the Railyard and Pinnacle Hills, where many attendees stayed and dined. The event’s scale is notable for a city of Rogers’ size, underscoring its growing role as a host for regional events that draw visitors statewide and nationally.
Although the weather posed some challenges, the community response remained enthusiastic. Event organizers and chamber officials emphasized the rally’s economic impact, noting the influx of visitors positively affects hospitality, retail, and food sectors in Rogers and Benton County. The return of Bikes, Blues & BBQ to Northwest Arkansas in Rogers after its decade-long tenure in Fayetteville holds significance for local business recovery and tourism growth strategies.
According to Danneberg, the continued support and interest from riders and fans nationwide suggest the event will remain an important annual fixture in Rogers’ calendar. “The diversity of attendees—from avid motorcycle enthusiasts to families and casual observers—reflects the broad appeal of Bikes, Blues & BBQ,” he noted.
The rally continues to capitalize on Rogers’ existing assets, including access to outdoor amenities such as Lake Leatherwood and the recent retail expansions surrounding downtown. Event planning for upcoming years will likely consider ways to maximize both visitor experience and community benefits without overextending local infrastructure.
Visitors and residents experienced several musical performances and barbecue competitions, staples of the festival’s traditional offerings.
