Cary and Cindy Arsaga, the Fayetteville duo behind Arsaga’s coffee shops and restaurants, will open Arsaga’s on the Mountain on the Mount Sequoyah Center campus later this fall at 150 N. Skyline Drive.
Honestly, you can’t talk about Northwest Arkansas coffee culture without mentioning the Arsagas. For years, they’ve been turning tiny storefronts into neighborhood staples that people actually want to hang out in. Now they’re taking that same hustle to the Mount Sequoyah campus, transforming a building on the northeast-ish side of the property into a spot for coffee, food, and just general gathering.
Mount Sequoyah is already an incredible resource for the region—a 600-acre campus providing services and housing for older adults. But this location offers something different. It’s right off Skyline Drive. You get that view of the Ozarks that you honestly can’t find in a place like Chicago or St. Louis unless you’re paying a premium for a skyscraper.
Look, background matters here. Cary Arsaga had a clear plan last year when he sold the Mill District location to make way for Dempsey Bakery. He told the Fayetteville Flyer he thought it was time to retire. The grind gets to you. He figured that was his last chapter.
But the opportunity to open a shop on this campus? He changed his mind.
The entire setup is an interesting mix of rural and urbane. Usually, a place this big with this kind of view would require a drive you just don’t want to take. Here, it’s integrated right into a community hub.
The region has been buzzing about what comes next up on Skyline, but having people like the Arsagas plant roots there tends to shake things up in the best way. They aren’t just installing chairs; they’re building a community anchor.
This isn’t just about the
