Arkansas unveils 2027 baseball schedule

The Arkansas Razorbacks baseball team will hit the diamond for 56 regular-season games in 2027, with the season schedule released this week by the University of Arkansas Athletics Department. The slate features 10 Southeastern Conference (SEC) series and an early-season trip back to Arlington, Texas, for the annual Amegy Bank College Baseball Series.

Among the home SEC series this year, Razorback fans in Fayetteville can look forward to welcoming powerhouse programs like Alabama, LSU, Missouri, Kentucky, and Auburn to Baum-Walker Stadium. Arkansas will head on the road to face Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, and Mississippi State for the away conference matchups.

It’s honestly exciting how packed the schedule is, especially considering this level of competition in the SEC. Ten conference series is no small task—it’s a grueling gauntlet compared to many other college baseball programs. Look, in some major college baseball markets, teams don’t get this kind of slate at home, blending marquee matchups with passionate fan bases. It’s a testament to how Razorback baseball has built momentum here.

Early in the season, the Hogs will make their way back to Arlington for the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series, an event that draws top-tier competition every year. While the Razorbacks’ exact opponents at the event have yet to be announced, the event consistently provides a neutral-site atmosphere that offers fans a taste of professional-level baseball environments without leaving the region. The games are held near the Texas Rangers’ Globe Life Field, which adds a remarkable quality to these matchups.

Arkansas will also meet the Memphis Tigers in a midseason neutral-site clash at Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock. This stands out as a notable regional nonconference game, underscoring the Razorbacks’ ongoing efforts to maintain strong ties with neighboring programs and provide fans with intriguing cross-state matchups.

Outside of conference play, the schedule includes 14 total nonconference opponents, ensuring the team will have a diverse range of competition through the season’s ebb and flow. These games will test the team’s depth and develop players early on, which is critical for sustaining performance during the tough SEC grind.

The release of this extensive schedule is bound to energize Razorbacks fans. Baum-Walker Stadium consistently ranks among the best venues in college baseball, drawing some of the largest crowds not just in the SEC but nationwide. Compared to larger cities where tickets can break the bank, attending these games in Fayetteville remains accessible for families and longtime fans alike—maintaining that local charm and community feel.

Arkansas baseball has steadily grown as a focal point of athletic pride in Northwest Arkansas, and this packed 2027 schedule only raises the stakes for the team and the region. With top competition coming into town and big road trips lined up, Razorback baseball promises a season full of energy, challenge, and hometown excitement.

For locals looking to catch the Hogs in action, mark calendars early because these SEC series and the Amegy Bank series events sell out quickly. Those familiar with Fayetteville’s game-day energy know how electric these matchups can be—especially when SEC opponents like LSU and Alabama are in town.

Compared to other major sports markets, Northwest Arkansas offers an incredible college baseball experience with genuine enthusiasm and accessibility, proving this region is a serious baseball hot spot.
